Shirataki (or Konjac)rice has the key characteristic of being composed basically only of fiber consequently it has very few calories and no carbohydrates.
It is therefore ideal for all diets and particularly low-carbohydrate diets.
Because of the different shape from spaghetti the preparation and nutritional values are slightly different, but still ideal for dieting.
Also, since the weight increases 4.5 times, for the same amount ready on the plate, risino is more convenient. Each 50g package of Risino roughly corresponds to a very large plate of rice for one person, or 225g after cooking.
Packages of 200g dry, or 900g rehydrated, are also available.
Prepare a pot of boiling water. Put in much more water than is used for regular pasta.
Soak the desired amount of Shirataki Risino and let it boil or rest for at least 10 to 12 minutes.
Don't worry if you have left ZenPasta in water too long, this pasta never boils and always stays the same consistency.
The weight gain is greater by leaving it even 15 minutes Drain in a colander and rinse well under the tap with hot water.
It is important to rinse well to remove any carbohydrate residue.
If the sauce you have chosen allows it, sauté the risino in a pan with the sauce to blend best.
We recommend flavorful sauces and a little plenty of salt as ZenPasta has no flavor and is not salty. Serve and enjoy as much ZenPasta as you like, as it is almost calorie-free!
